Focus on Regenerative Tourism
At Arctic Ocean Lodge, we invite our guests to immerse themselves in the rich fishing traditions of Norway, while learning how to care for our natural resources through regenerative tourism. During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to fish in the pristine waters around Andøya, renowned for their incredible biodiversity. Afterward, you can hang up three freshly caught fish to dry on our traditional outdoor drying racks, just as Norwegians have done for centuries. As a special part of the experience, you’ll also take home one dried fish, giving you a lasting connection to the Norwegian coastal heritage.
Fishing under the midnight sun
Our expert guides will share insights into the local marine ecosystem and discuss sustainable fishing practices that help protect these valuable waters. We also offer hands-on workshops in filleting and preparing fish, teaching you skills passed down through generations. This is more than just a cultural experience – it's a way to explore how regenerative tourism can actively restore and safeguard nature for future generations, while celebrating Norway’s time-honored fishing traditions.
Part of our Vision is looking at the fish as food, not only the thrills. This includes always taking out a sustainable amount from the ecosystems.
